How to make a Photo Booth Frame- Step-by-Step Procedure
Below is the step-by-step procedure to DIY photo booth frames. Before stepping into the process, check out the list of the items you will need.
Things You Will Need
- Adhesive glue
- Glue gun
- Cutter/ knife
- Foam sheet
- Artificial flowers
- Binding wire
Draw the size of the photo booth frame on the cardboard you want to make. For example, if you are making the frame for 1-2 persons, keep the aspect ratio 36 x 24 inches. Similarly, for 3-4 persons, the size of the frame should be 48 x 36 inches minimum.
Make sure that the lines of the frame you draw are clear for effortless cutting.
Once you sketched the picture frame for party on the cardboard, use a cutter/blade to cut the body. If you are using the cutter, use a ruler along with it for straight cutting. However, if you find using the blade unsafe, use a pair of scissors instead.
After cutting the frame, use sandpaper to smooth the edges. However, do not rub the sandpaper too hard because it uneven the lines.
If you customize the frame or add some quotations, paste the paper on the front side using adhesive glue. But if not, skip the part.
Now take a foam sheet and cut it to the same size as the photo prop frame. Do not paste multi layers of the foam sheet. A single foam sheet is enough. Instead, use a glue gun to mount the foam sheet with the cardboard. Leave it for 5-7 minutes before stepping to the next step.
Now, again take another sheet of cardboard for extra strength. Paste the second layer of cardboard on the backside of the frame. Use a glue gun for pasting.
REMEMBER: Glue guns are not recommended for kids’ use. If you are underage, use the glue gun under adult supervision. Otherwise, you might end up burning your hands.
Now your photo booth frame is all set for some cheesy pictures. To decorate the frame, mount some artificial flowers with the help of a silver wire. Again, take adult supervision while using the binding wire.
How to Make Social Media Photo Prop Frame?
These social media photo frames are pretty trendy these days. Well, crafting them at home is pretty simple. Follow the below-mentioned process;
Before cutting or rubbing the cardboard, download the social media frame online. Instagram social posts are widely used for this purpose, as they look super attractive.
The size of the printed post should be wide so that the fonts look visible. You also have the option to customize the print with your name, location, and username.
After downloading the picture, put it aside & cut the frame. Follow the same procedure mentioned above for making the photo prop frame.
Here, most folks make the mistake that they paste the picture first before cutting the frame. There is nothing wrong with pasting the image before cutting the body.
The problem is, if your aspect ratio is not the same from all sides or you need to trim the frame further, the picture will get spoiled. Also, trimming the body will cut the part if it contains elements or text, ruining the image.
Now paste foam sheet and cardboard on the backside of the frame. Paste some flowers or other elements if you want. Now call your friends and ask them to have a sassy photoshoot with the frame.
